Dear Friend,
Embarking upon restoration
and renewal within the Garden has led to a greater public awareness of its
environmental and historical significance and of our fortune in having such an
oasis of tranquility within the inner city. Its usage has increased dramatically
and has been much encouraged by the staging of alfresco musical and theatrical
productions by L.I.P.A and by
Last year’s highlight was
Lodestar’s three week season of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. This year the company is
presenting A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Globe Theatre is presenting A
Winters’ Tale at both matinee and evening performances between July 31st
and September 7th.
Both productions promise to
be spectacular and can be strongly recommended.
Tickets are £15 per person
