St James' Cemetery.  Liverpool

A bill for a meal at the St. James Coffee House given on the 15th October 1775.   Since the corporation have been debited with the bill, it would seem that the occasion was an official one.   Not much changes, as you can see if you look at the amount spent on servants Punch and Beer!

A second bill, sent by John Bridge to a David Garrick for the keep of him and his horse for about three weeks.   Garrick was an officer in the Royal Dragoons who were stationed in Liverpool due to riots at the time.
